15kms (9mi) west of Ash Shir, there is a village with huge circular oil storage tanks and 3 Jetties, which would provide good sheltered surf inside when it’s stormy and big. Unfortunately, it is utterly out of bounds to everyone and heavily patrolled by army tanks and jeeps to prevent further suicide bomb attacks on the installation.
