Surf: When the surf is too big elsewhere, Kalim is one of the better breaks on Phuket, where a righthand reefbreak unfolds over shallow coral, plus there’s an occasional left. The ride is about 50-100m (165-330ft) long and gets very shallow at the end. When it gets crowded, it usually remains very friendly in the line-up. Mid incoming tide is usually better. Environment: Intermediate to experienced riders only.
