More about Killer Point surfspot

‘Killers’ is the most consistent Tarhazoute pointbreak, sucking up all available N-W swells. It’s always bigger than it looks and the paddle-out takes close to 15mins at high tide. In small swells, at low tide, the peak in front of the cliff has a short left (heading straight into some rocky caves) and a sectioning right. As the swell increases, the take-off area moves south and powerful, vertical walls, rumble down the point. Occasional barrels and difficult to make sections. The inside fires at high tide as it’s fully protected from N winds. Handles a lot of size.

General: One of the main point breaks in Taghazout and the most open to swell, Killers lies at the centre of Moroccan surfing, and unsurprisingly gets quite crowded. It is a long, powerful right point that can handle the biggest swells, and can be more challenging than Anchors' more groomed lines. A long paddle from the sharp, rocky beach and the current on big swells can make it a chore to get out there. Better surfers and more serious ones will make the paddle to avoid the crowds at Anchors and challenge themselves in the bomb sets. On a good day, barrels can be had in the big, shifty lineup, with long walls and rippable sections. Tides: Low to medium Size: Head high-3x overhead Wind: N to NE Swell: NW, WNW, W Bottom: Rocky point with sand. Paddling: Long paddles and lots of water moving on big days. Spot Rating: Consistent point near Taghazout. Can be good when it is working.
