Krishna River surf guide

Krishna River is located further south, where the marshy, sandy delta creates some rivermouth bars. It’s not the most popular surf spot, but for those willing to put in the work to get there, it can definitely reward you with some decent rides. Getting to these spots can be a bit of a challenge, so finding a boat to explore the area could make things much easier and safer.

This spot works best with southeast swells, but you can also catch some action with east and south swells. You're looking at swell sizes that handle around 2ft (about 0.6 meters) and are primarily sand breaks. The waves can offer both left and right rides, which is a nice feature. If you hit it right with a northwest wind and any tide—low, mid, or high—you might just find yourself enjoying some fun sessions here. It tends to be better for intermediate surfers since the conditions can be a bit tricky at times.

Besides the waves, the area is a bit off the beaten path, so don’t expect to see crowds. With some time and effort, you might just find a nice setup that suits your style, especially with the long right at one of the mouths of the Godavari near Odalaravu, which could potentially stretch into a 2km ride if conditions align.
