Kumera Patch surf guide

Surf: Close to Okato is Kumera Patch, a left boulder pointbreak that breaks a bit like Raglan. E to S wind quadrant and any flavour W swell will manufacture some leg-burningly long walls that can go hollow in places depending on how the sand is building up on the inside. Directions: From New Plymouth head soth west on Devon Street West. Continue out of New Plymouth on South Road State Highway 45. Go just through Okato and turn right onto Kaihihi Road and park at the end of the road. From here its about a 20min walk south west along the beach to the point. Environment: So long a run around is in order. High consistency but often onshore. Take the road through private property and walk south for 20mins. Intermediates up.
