La Brava surf guide

La Brava is a surf spot located just south of town, not too far from some other well-known beaches. It offers a mix of some sandy areas along with sections of uneven reef. It’s a great place for those looking to catch some fun waves without having to deal with crowds all the time, making it a decent choice for a casual surf session.

The surf here is generally more beginner-friendly, with waves that can handle sizes around 3ft (about 1 meter). The optimal swell direction comes from the SouthWest, but you can also find some action with swells coming from the South and NorthWest. The waves usually break both left and right, and there are some smaller rights on the north side of the bay where you need to watch out for rocks. Low, mid, and high tides can all work, but you’ll often find the best conditions with a NorthEast wind.

This spot can be inconsistent, but it's still worth checking out, especially if you’re just starting out and want to ride some smaller waves in a relaxed setting. It also has a more natural vibe compared to some of the busier beaches nearby, letting you enjoy your time on the water.
