La Nave is a surf spot located at the southern end of the bay, just 10km south of Ancona, near Mount Conero. It's known for its mix of rocky areas and decent swells. The spot can get crowded at times, especially during peak surf seasons, so be prepared for a bit of competition in the water.
This spot is best when the swell direction is Southeast, although it can also handle swells coming from the south. The waves here break over uneven reef and generally provide long, powerful right-handers. You can expect to find good waves when the swell hits around 2ft (about 0.6 meters) or more. La Nave works well at all tide heights—low, mid, and high—but it's ideal for intermediate surfers looking for a challenge.
To make the most of your session, keep an eye on the wind; the preferred wind direction is also Southeast. So, if the conditions line up, you could have a solid day of surfing at La Nave.
