La Roccetta surf guide

La Roccetta is a surf spot located about 200 meters south of Santa Marinella's harbor. It is not a crowded area, making it an appealing choice for surfers looking to escape the busier beaches. Getting there is straightforward; just turn left at the gas station before crossing the bridge from town.

The surf at La Roccetta breaks over a shallow rock ledge and features an A-frame peak. The right side provides a longer ride but tends to be slower, while the left offers shorter, more intense waves with the potential for barrelling sections. It works best with small windless swells coming from the southeast, southwest, and west, handling swell sizes of around 2 feet (0.6 meters). For optimal conditions, a northeast wind is preferable, and the spot works well at low, mid, and high tide. This spot is more suited for expert surfers due to its setup and the nature of its breaks.

When you plan to surf here, keep in mind that it can handle various swell directions, with southwest being the most optimal. The waves form both left and right, providing options depending on your preference. However, due to the reef nature of the break, make sure you're prepared for the rocky conditions.
