Laity Peak surf guide

Surf: Only 22km (14mi) north of Tulears’ sand and mangroves, Ifaty boasts several hotels and a couple of breaks. Getting to Behakio’s (meaning large sharks!) consistent righthand reefbreaks lying 3kms (2mi) offshore, requires a boat. Finding one with a reliable engine can be problematic, but it’s a long wave and can hold up to 12ft (4m) surf. Environment: Get there before the trades pick up.
