Surf: Just north of Hourtin only one road bisects the 10km long Forêt du Flamand. Endless choice of peaks along this quiet stretch that never gets crowded and has a good campsite nearby.
Directions: Cross the dunes
Environment: Beginner-friendly but there are some rips.
