Surf: Library, so called because of its proximity to the oldest library in the world, is one of the best beachbreaks around Alexandria, consistent and capable of holding some of the largest surfable waves in Egypt. Watch out for a current that flows east; getting trapped on a rocky shoreline with no exit is the danger. Library is one of the only beaches where you are likely to encounter other surfers. Alexandria itself has a coastal road that provides good access to a number of different waves. The actual access to the beaches is harder to find, and some charge a small fee.
