Lindie's Point surf guide

Lindie's Point is a surf spot that's newly discovered and located just a 15-minute walk from the Bay Inn. The waves here were created when local engineers opened up the mouth of the estuary to tackle flooding during the rainy season. You’ll find left and right rivermouth sandbanks that have formed, making it a unique spot for surfers looking for something different. However, be mindful of the strong rips that can be present, so it’s a good idea to stay alert.

This spot handles swell sizes starting from about 2 feet (0.6 meters) and is best suited for northeast swells, although north and east swells are also good options. The waves break over sand, which makes it relatively friendly for beginners. You can ride both left and right, depending on the direction of the swell. Winds coming from the west are preferable, and it works well during low, mid, and high tide, giving you some flexibility on when to surf.

Since Lindie's Point is designed for beginners, it's a great place to practice your skills in a less crowded environment. Just keep an eye on the conditions, especially the rips, and enjoy the ride!
