More about Lori Wilson Park surfspot

General: Lori Wilson Park's wide beach, ample parking and tourist facilities make it more of a family fun center than a surf spot, but the sandbars are as sufficient as anywhere else in town. Most surfers come here when a NE swell is out of control in the southern part of the county, or for NW winds, which are better here than beaches to the south. Tides: Low to mid tide; High tide sometimes okay here Size: Thigh-1' overhead Wind: W Swell: ENE-E-ESE Bottom: Sand Paddling: Usually easy but can be some paddling on bigger swells. Spot Rating: Average Cocoa Beach spot with tons of parking. Great spot for beginner/newer level surfers.

Suitable for all ability levels.

A sea of parking.

Fall-Spring, Hurricane

Crowd Factor: Plenty of room to spread out, but can get a crowd on a good peak. Local Vibe: Lovingly inspired by the peaceful serenity of Slater's monuments.

Clean water for the most part but can get murky.

Nothing really, just loads of tourists and people driving over from Orlando.
