Los Naranjos surf guide

Los Naranjos is a surf spot located not far east of Arrecifes. It features a small stream that contributes to a reliable low tide sandbar, set against striking rock pillars. This area is known for having a cleaner wave compared to Arrecifes, with the potential to hold waves up to 6 ft (1.8 m). The line-up tends to be less crowded, making it a decent option if you're looking for a spot to catch some quality waves.

The surf at Los Naranjos works best with a north or northeast swell and can handle sizes starting from about 1 ft (0.3 m). You can find both left and right breaks here, but the lefts are more commonly surfed. For optimum conditions, the best wind direction is from the south, and it breaks over sand, making it suitable for intermediate surfers. The spot works well at low, mid, and high tide, giving you plenty of options throughout the day.

Apart from the main break, there are some lefts over rock heading west. If you're keen to explore, you can also check out the beaches at Castilletes and Cañaveral nearby. These spots offer additional opportunities to surf and can be a good way to mix things up during your session.
