Other side of the bay and close to the pool is Macmasters Point, an excellent wave with a critically vert take-off and powerful bowl sections over some bigger rocks. Sleeps until a chunky E to S winter swell wraps in, but the sharp bottom and no nonsense locals means it is for experienced surfers only.
Locals like to keep it to themselves. It's a long drive from Copa via the main road when it looks so close down the beach.
