Manglecito surf guide

Manglecito is a surf spot located 15 kilometers northeast of Puerto Baquerizo, accessible only by boat. This place is known for its fast, powerful waves that are more suited for experienced surfers. The setup provides a unique experience with its shallow and heavy peaks that can really give you a ride, but watch out, as the waves can catch you off guard during bigger swells.

The best conditions for surfing here typically show up with a northwest swell, handling swell sizes around 4 feet (about 1.2 meters). Manglecito breaks over an uneven reef, which adds to its challenging nature. Most of the waves are lefts, and when the tide is low, mid, or high, you can expect to find solid waves on a good day. For the best experience, look for a southeast wind to help shape the waves right.

While Manglecito primarily caters to experienced surfers, it also has a consistent A-frame at Manglecito Reef to the north. Just keep in mind that this spot can change quickly with the swell, so always pay attention to the conditions out there before heading out.
