Meio surf guide

Praia do Meio is a surf spot that offers a mix of wave conditions, making it a decent option without the crazy crowds. It’s located close to Vila dos Remedios, so it’s pretty accessible if you’re staying in the area. The beach has a laid-back vibe, and it's an ideal getaway when you want to catch some waves without competing with too many other surfers.

The surf at Meio works best with a northeast swell and can handle wave sizes up to about 3 feet (1 meter). You’ll find both lefts and rights breaking over a mix of uneven reef and sandy bottom. The spot does well on mid to high tides but can also be surfed at low tide. If the wind’s coming from the south, you’ll have a better chance at cleaner waves. This place is generally more suited for intermediate surfers, so keep that in mind if you’re heading out.

While you're there, you can enjoy the varied peaks scattered across the beach, but don’t expect anything too extreme. If you wander down to the southern end near Cachorro, you might find some rocky sections and longer lefts that could be interesting. Just be aware of the changing conditions and have fun out there!
