Smaller towards western end, where a rivermouth shapes up the banks and there’s better W wind protection. Environment: Sometimes crowded. Nearest surfing beach to popular summer resort of San Vicente de la Barquera. Parking not normally a problem. Good beach facilities, shops and campsite nearby. Some estuarine pollution. .
