More about Minutes surfspot

Cow Bay is another local’s favorite, featuring numerous reefs including Minutes, named after timing rides that travel well over 500 meters. Very fast peelers, best on E-SE groundswells, it’s slightly sheltered from W-NW winds and coveted by the locals.

General: Located inside Cow Bay, Minutes is a long, sloping right-hand point breaking off a rock-shelf reef. Generally, a hollow, peeling wave that goes for a long way, it's basically your typical cold-water right-hand point, with hollow sections, and plenty of room for everyone. Big boulders on the beach, kelpy in the water. At the top is another left/right reef break. Tides: Medium to high (incoming), but it breaks on all tides. Size: Chest high-overhead Wind: West to Northwest Swell: S, SE Bottom: Rock Paddling: Can be some work if there is size. Spot Rating: Long waves when it is working.
