North of the high 'torii' shrine gate standing before a pair of upright stones, is the highly consistent Mitamigaura, often used for contests. The beachbreaks are often slow and fat when small, but when it gets overhead, powerful waves break a long way out and a useful current runs out to sea from the right side of the beach.

With small waves on the inside and big waves out the back, there's something for everybody here on a good day.
