It's a long, arduous paddle across the current strafed Harbour entrance from Raglan to Mussel Rock. Sand commutes around the rocks with greatly varying results from slopey shoulders to fast tubes. Tide movement will decide the current and speed, which can get terrifying. Small days only.
Paddle across the river from Raglan or take a boat.
A boat makes the whole exercise easier. The reward is usually empty waves unless the kiters decide to descend.
