Napalms is a surf spot located further into the bay from One Palm. It's known for its solid waves that provide some fun barrels, making it a bit easier to tackle than the more challenging breaks nearby. You can expect to see a good number of surfers out here most days since it's fairly consistent.
The best conditions at Napalms happen with a southwest swell, allowing it to handle swell sizes up to about 4 feet (around 1.2 meters). The waves typically break over live coral and tend to peel left. Low, mid, and high tides all work here, but keep in mind the low tide can get a bit risky. It’s a spot that intermediates will enjoy, but you might want to watch out for the sharp inside coral heads that can catch you off guard. The ideal wind direction is northeast, but be aware that southeast winds can make for some unwanted cross-shore chop.
Since Napalms draws in a decent crowd, you’ll likely share the waves with other boaters. It also has a nearby shorter left that adds some variety for surfers looking to mix things up. Just remember to respect the lineup to keep things friendly and enjoyable for everyone!
