Tucked into the corner of Raglan Bay, Ngarunui Beach always serves up something to ride, catering for all abilities. The rip in the southern corner gives an armchair ride out the back where rolling walls stretch both ways for the regular crowds. It's the easiest check and surf in Raglan and where the surf schools ply their trade. More peaks down towards the harbour, but they will be messed up by the SW winds.

In Raglan you will enter on Main Road, which then turns into Bow Street. Continue to the first roundabout and turn left onto Bankart Street, then turn left at the next roundabout onto Wainui Road. Continue on Wainui Road a little further then turn right onto Wainui Reserve Road. Find a park at the end of the road at Wainui Reserve and walk out onto the beach.

Also called Wainui Beach after the reserve backing it. Might be a bit tense when all the locals are out because the points aren't working.
