No Pass is a surf spot located a long walk down the beach from Deadmans. It features a rocky environment with a horseshoe-shaped boulder reef which can be challenging. The vibe here can be a bit tense due to the local crowd, so if you’re heading out here, be prepared for some competition in the water.
The surf at No Pass is primarily a left-hand break that works best with a southwest swell direction. It can handle swell sizes starting at around 2 feet (0.6 meters) and can produce some decent waves over the uneven reef. You can expect steep take-offs that lead to fast walls when the surf is on. The waves can be powerful with solid cutback sections, making it suitable for intermediate surfers. The best conditions usually occur with an incoming tide, particularly when the wind is coming from the east.
Keep in mind that this area is known for having rock hazards and is also located in a shark-infested zone, adding to the need for caution. Make sure you're comfortable surfing over reefs and be aware of the local surfers and their etiquette.
