More about North End surfspot
General: North Litchfield is a residential area with marginal surf and wide, beautiful beaches. The reason for the marginal surf is that it's set back in a somewhat recessed part of the coast. If it's waist- to chest-high here, it's probably chest-to-head at Huntington or Pawley's Island. Works on all swells. Tides: Mid to high Size: Waist-overhead high Wind: W, NW Swell: S, SE Bottom: Sand. Paddling: Hard NE and SW winds can produce strong currents, but generally pretty mellow. Spot Rating: Scattered peaks, ideal for all types surfers most days.
