North Haven surf guide

North Haven is a pretty chill surf spot that's known for being a typical rivermouth jetty break. It offers some decent protection from southerly winds, which makes for a more enjoyable session. When the sand builds up, you can catch some good right-handers running down the wall. If you’re looking for something even better, check out the adjacent left peak, which can sometimes offer a better ride. Plus, there’s plenty of space up the beach to avoid the weekend crowd.

The spot works best with a southeast swell direction and can handle swells as small as 1 ft (about 0.3 meters). The wave direction is mainly right, but you can catch some decent ones to the left too. With preferable winds coming from the west, this place can be fun for surfers of all levels. It’s good for beginners, especially since it works well at low, mid, and high tide.

If you're looking for a bit more action, check out Diamond Head, which is nearby. It usually has more consistent waves and can be a great option for a slightly easier session since it cuts down the swell size. Overall, North Haven is a solid spot to consider if you're in the area.
