Surf: Nuluhaga stands as the most impressive wave around showing some Teahupoo characteristics. Wedges up into a thick-lipped peak but it's the left that is ridden. Heavy drops are followed by stratospheric tubes with little water over the reef. It only breaks when the outside swell is moderate to heavy, and it has to be glassy or light E-SE.
