Surf: Average-quality beach break where shorebreak waves form in storm conditions too big for La Zurriola. Short, semi-closeout waves. OK on strong SW or even W winds. Environment: Often crowded when working. Ondarreta is situated at the west end of the famous La Concha beach in the town centre of San Sebastian. Good beach facilities including lifeguard, toilets and showers. Quite near to town centre shops and bars. Parking nearby is difficult or impossible in the summer, and expensive, although any surfable waves here would normally only occur during the winter. Moderately polluted, mainly with residential and stormwater runoff.
