Otro Pais surf guide

Otro Pais, also known as Camuri Grande Club or Paraiso, is a surf spot that’s worth checking out, especially when the swell is up. It’s known for its fast and powerful right pointbreaks, making it a go-to spot for many surfers in the area. Access to the water can be tricky, so expect to do some paddling. The vibe here is pretty laid-back, but don’t underestimate the spot’s challenges.

This place really shines on a big swell, particularly when it comes in from the North or Northeast. It can handle sizes down to about 2ft (0.6m), but it’s best when it gets bigger. The wave breaks over sand and tends to produce some barrels, so if you're an intermediate surfer looking for a decent challenge, you’ll find it here. The waves come in from the right, and if you can time it right with low to high tide, you might catch some good rides. Just keep in mind that southeast winds are the way to go for cleaner conditions.

Aside from surfing, Otro Pais offers a beautiful natural setting, and the scenery can be pretty nice when you're out in the water. Just remember that it can get crowded, so be prepared to share the lineup with other surfers. Make sure to respect the locals, and you should have a good time here.
