Surf: The most consistent break in Bengkulu province is the extensive urban beach at Pantai Panjang which translates as Long Beach. There are almost 7kms of peaks to choose from between the headland and the inlet to the estuary, with an armoured rivermouth in the middle. Prefers a medium swell with a bit of angle to create corners and winds from the NE. Environment: Popular with beachgoers and there is a nice strip of parkland as a buffer from the city. Good place to meet the local surfers. Water quality near the rivermouth will be dubious, particularly after rain.
