PB Point surf guide
Surf: General: PB Point is a rolling righthander that meanders through various slow sections where longboards are the rule. In fact, it's the slowest wave around and requires a low tide and a swell with some push to make it decent.
Tides: All tides
Size: shoulder high to double overhead
Wind: E, NE
Swell: W, NW
Bottom: Sand and rock
Paddling: Plenty of work to be had when it is pumping.
Spot Rating: Soft, sectiony point for the most part but can get good at size.
Access: Easy.
Crowds: Crowd Factor: Heavy when good.
Local Vibe: Mostly mellow.
Environment: Typically ok but gets dicey after a rain.
Hazards: Attempting to rip mush on a shortboard, getting hit by a loose 12 foot board.
Season: Best November-February.
