Pellines surf guide

Surf: General: Pellines is a small locality 26 km south of Constitucion. Keep a sharp eye out for it, being so small you might just go through without even noticing. Composed principally of a fishing harbor, a few shops and some small fishing houses, this pointbreak wave, although not as good as other gems of the region, can be a good backup when most of the other spots don't have any waves. This spot can produce some fun lefts when other close spots are unsurfable. Tides: Low tide or high tide for bigger swells Size: Chest high-slightly overhead Wind: S Swell: SW, W Bottom: Sand bottom Paddling: Not bad on average, but you can spend some energy getting back to the top of the point after a long ride. Spot Rating: Not the best wave around but a good, uncrowded alternative when other nearby spots aren't seeing enough swell. Access: Park in the harbor in front of the beach Crowds: Crowd Factor: Nearly no one or 2 people max. Local Vibe: Unlikely to even find people in the water, but beware of the fisherfolk. Environment: Not bad Hazards: Turning your back on the ocean. Season: February-May
