More about Pigeon Point surfspot

General: Pigeon Point is offshore when everything north is blown out. But Pigeon Point isn't really a surf spot. Some people claim that there is a right there on big S swells, but big S swells around here are uncommon. Others say there is a giant right that breaks outside the point on Maverick's days. Some surf the little reefs along the cliffs on the south side of the point. Tides: Incoming, low to medium Size: Waist high-overhead Wind: N, NE Swell: S, SW, W Bottom: Sand with some rock. Paddling: Minimal. Spot Rating: Mediocre.
