Playa Cueva del Lobo is a long stretch of grey sand beach that may not always be busy, making it a decent spot for some uninterrupted time in the water. It’s not widely known, so you won’t find crowds here, which can be a bonus. The beach offers good views and a relaxed vibe, perfect for a casual surf session or just hanging out.
The surf here picks up plenty of swell, with an optimal direction coming from the NorthEast. It can handle swell sizes starting at 1 ft (0.3 m) and you’ll find waves breaking over sand. Both left and right waves are available, which can be great for practicing. This place is mainly good for beginners because of the gentle beach break. If you're planning to hit the waves, the best winds come from the NorthWest and you can find decent surf at low, mid, and even high tide.
Although Playa Cueva del Lobo is not heavily surfed, it's still worth checking out, especially for those who are just starting out. The sandbars can create fun little swells, particularly in front of Pueblo Indalo. It’s a good spot to get some practice in and enjoy a more laid-back surfing session.
