Playa del Puerco surf guide

Playa del Puerco is a long stretch of sand situated between La Barrossa and Roche. It offers some cliff protection when the winds are strong from the east, making it a decent escape from the crowds that typically gather at other spots. The beach is not usually very busy, giving surfers a bit more space to enjoy their session in the water.

The surf here works best with a northwest swell, but it can also handle southwest swells. The waves typically break over sand, providing options for both left and right rides. You can expect good conditions with swell sizes starting at around 2 feet (0.6 meters). It's suitable for beginners, especially during low to mid tides, but still has the potential for fast, tubular rides similar to those found at Roche, especially when the conditions are right.

Getting to Playa del Puerco involves a dirt track leading to the clifftop between Urb Sancti Petri and Urb Roche. The route is simple, and once you arrive, you can enjoy a laid-back surf session without the hassle often found at more crowded beaches.
