More about Point Grenville surfspot

A rocky headland creates a sheltered stretch of coast with a variety of reef and beachbreak surf.

The state’s most popular surfing area back in the early 1960s, but mindless tourists with imperial attitudes soon alienated the Quinault people with their littering, destruction of tribal property, and a general lack of respect. Over the past decade, the Quinault Nation has generously allowed surfers access to Grenville on July Fourth and Labor Day. However, recent run-ins with trespassing surfers have once again aggravated relations between the tribe and outsiders, and the future of even this limited access is in jeopardy. Keep out.
