Point Plomer surf guide

Surf: Point Plomer is not the most perfect or exciting right point on the coast but it does offer entry level surfers a chance to get a taste of long pointbreak rights. Refracts and shoulders quite a lot on the inside so cutback honing is the order of the day. Lower tides and a bit of size will increase the challenge. The beachbreak can be strong and dumpy, but if it blowing NE then on the other side of Queens Head gets perfect in headhigh E swells. Directions: Dirt road Environment: The Plomer road is a classic track, testing vehicles especially after rain. There's a National Park campsite and some cabins that are privately run, which fill up in school holidays, but mid-week, mid-term is empty.
