Surf: Poneloya and Las Penitas have a bit more shape to their beachbreaks than the long straight sands to the north and south. Doesn't pick up as much swell as down south but when it does, it quickly gets heavy rips and close-outs. Environment: Empty and rarely surfed despite Quiksilver holding a comp here.
