Another spot that is extremely difficult to access. This is a break on the westernmost point of the island. First surfed by Portuguese surfers To Gama, Tiago Oliveira, Miguel Fortes, and a few others, and has been rarely surfed since. There is a trecherous trail down the steep cliffs that is very difficult to find, and would require super-human strength to climb it after a session. Best access is by boat from Paul do Mar, Calheta, or Porto Moniz. The point can handle huge swells, and there is an outside bommie that breaks when it is over 20 feet. You can check it from the lighthouse at Ponta do Pargo, which is some 500 meters above the spot. One of the few spots that can handle a strong E wind, which tends to blow out the other spots on the south shore.

Must go by boat from Paul do Mar, Calheta, or Porto Moniz.
