Portofino surf guide

Surf: General: Right by the motorway, in the middle of the desert, the small village of Portofino has one of the best rights of the Northern Region. This powerful right is constant and can offer tubing sections, rippable overhead walls, and connections for airs. It breaks pretty close to shore and the rock bottom is covered with urchins. Tides: Half down emptying Size: Waist high-slightly overhead Wind: E Swell: NW Bottom: Rocks and sand Paddling: Not bad on the average day but can be some work when it's pumping. Spot Rating: One of the best waves in the area and is fairly consistent to boot. Access: Park right in front of the wave. Crowds: Crowd Factor: No crowds, hardly anyone out Local Vibe: Super cool with visitors. Environment: Pretty good Hazards: Urchins. Season: February-October
