Pottsville Beach surf guide

Surf: Long, lonely and usually blown-out linear beachbreak, with congregations at spots like Ocean Shores, Golden Beach and Pottsville, where variable sandbars will form along a deserted and sharky stretch of coast. Avoid high tide. A fickle right and left can form on either side of Hastings Point, but rarely shows its fine potential, despite sucking in all available swell. Environment: Pottsville is always quiet until the big campsites fill up in summer with holidaymakers. Watch the rips and keep an eye out for dorsal fins.
