The optimal swell direction is Northwest, but it can also work with swells coming from the Southwest and North. At the north end of the beach, you’ll mainly find right-hand reef breaks, though there are also some lefts further down and peaks near the harbor wall. The waves tend to be sectiony, ideal for intermediate surfers, and the best conditions often show up during mid to high tide. For the perfect surf experience, easterly winds are preferred.
