Punta de Mujeres surf guide

Punta de Mujeres is a surf spot located just south of the village. It attracts surfers looking for solid waves, and you'll find it gets crowded when the surf is up. The atmosphere has a localized vibe, so be prepared to share the waves with fellow surfers.

The spot works best with northeast swells but can also handle northwest and east swells. It breaks over an uneven reef and offers both left and right waves that can get hollow. Ideal conditions are found at mid to high tide, and the spot can handle swell sizes starting from about 2 feet (0.6 meters). This spot is suitable for intermediate surfers, but keep in mind that the rocky bottom can lead to shallow areas, so be cautious while riding.

When hitting Punta de Mujeres, the preferred wind direction is from the west. Given the shallow reef and crowded conditions, it's best to be mindful of your surroundings and wait for the right moment to catch a wave. Enjoy the local vibe but be respectful to the regulars out there!
