Surf: Punta Roca is probably the best wave on the Caribbean coast, a heavy, ledgy A-frame reef that can get hollow. It's easily blown-out and will be busy with Barranquilla's friendly surf community, breaking best at higher tides and holding up to 6ft (2m). Environment: Gets strong rips and there are plenty of rocks to avoid. Intermediates and up.
