Overview
Quatro Casas is a fun right-hand pointbreak that peels over an uneven reef. A bed of kelp helps smooth the surface, so the wave tends to serve up clean, glassy shoulders. It sits below bluffs that shelter the break from northwest wind.
When It Works
The point draws swell from south through west-southwest to northwest (S-WSW-NW), with southwest swell the best match. It works from 0.9 m / 3 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft, and it's moderately consistent, so you'll get worthwhile windows when the setup lines up.
Wind and Tide
Look for north offshore wind to groom it. The point can work through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
Quatro Casas suits intermediate surfers. Expect a busy lineup when it's on, with a large longboarding crew making the most of those groomed shoulders.
Access
There's camping on the bluffs right above the break. Parking is free, with roadside spots available.
