Rio Chico welcomes long, consistent, uncrowded lefts to wrap around a rock shelf and bend into the private beach, inviting high energy turns on the steep walls. Better at lower tides with slack winds and W in the swell, pay to park and surf at the hotel. Further south are decent beachbreaks through Las Tunas and Ayambe.
Having to pay to surf here seems to keep the crowds down. Intermediates or better.
