Ristorante is a short, fast right that peels off the jetty just north of Banzai, breaking over a mix of rock ledge and sand. It can be inconsistent, but when it lines up the rides are worth the wait.
When It Works
The rights draw swell from southwest to northwest (SW-NW) and are usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft. Consistency is the main catch here, so it pays to check it when a suitable swell is running rather than counting on it day to day.
Wind and Tide
Look for north (N) offshore wind to clean up the faces. It can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The short, fast rights are approachable for beginners, and the lineup often stays quiet enough to pick off less crowded rides.
