More about Rolling Stones surfspot

Round the headland a small track leads down the cliff to a spot called Rolling Stones, so named because of the large boulders which are thrown around on the seabed. On a good quality S-SW swell, this morphs into a world-class, righthand pointbreak that breaks with menace in the small bay. Hollow, top-to-bottom, thick-lipped barrels grind down the boulder bank and there's a lesser left on the other side. High tide makes the shorebreak too gnarly and pumps up the volume of the gnashing rocks.

Heavy water for heavy surfers only.
