Surf: Forgiving without being soft due to deeper, flat reef and easy paddling channel return to peak. Fun from small to headhigh with whackable walls, turning into proper open barrels from take-off when overhead. Shifting outside wedges split the pack but it is short as it walls up through the bumpy inside section and finishes on the rocks skirting the jungle. Surfable all tides and light onshore, but mid tide, SE air and SW water should be best. There’s a sizeable village in the bay and a few locals have started surfing Roxys, plus there’s a left on the southern headland.
