Salybia Bay surf guide

Surf: General: Located on the northern tip of the island, this wave is like the mini G-land of Trinidad. Depending on swell direction, there can be a good right as well. When there is a good swell the whole reef, both outside and inside, really light up. Tides: Any depending on the size. Size: Head high-double overhead Wind: Southwest Swell: N, NE Bottom: Moss covered reef. Paddling: Depends on the swell -- more work as it gets bigger. Spot Rating: It takes a swell but when it is working it can be a really good wave. Access: Park right there. Crowds: Crowd Factor: Can get crowded when it gets good. Local Vibe: Mellow. Be cool and keep it that way. Environment: Not a concern. Hazards: Not much. Season: Late summer and fall for tropical cyclone swells but late fall through early spring for consistency.
